DESCRIPTION

The five medicines combination which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAIDs) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that causes pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil has anti-inflammatory properties and thus lowers inflammation in case of arthritis. Menthol and Methyl Salicylate are used as topical analgesic (pain reliever). It works by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Indications

Gel is a pain relieving medicine applied topically to relieve pain. It is used to treat pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It is also used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, and other inflammatory conditions.

Mechanism

As with most NSAIDs, the primary mechanism responsible for its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic action is thought to be inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis through COX-inhibition. Diclofenac inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 with relative equipotency.. It is thought to exert its effect through inhibition of COX-2. In addition, it may have effects inside the spinal cord. Diclofenac may be a unique member of the NSAIDs in other aspects. Some evidence indicates it inhibits the lipoxygenase pathways, thus reducing formation of the leukotrienes (also pro-inflammatory autacoids). It also may inhibit phospholipase A2 as part of its mechanism of action. These additional actions may explain its high potency – it is the most potent NSAID on a broad basis.

How to use

Apply 3,4 times a day, gently rub on the affected area, the Formulation is a quick absorbing gel , no need to massage. Gel is only meant for external use and should be used strictly as advised.Rub a thin layer of the medicine on the affected areas with clean and dry hands. Avoid getting in contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth and avoid applying it on wounded or damaged skin. In case of accidental contact with these areas, you should rinse it with plenty of cold water.
